Hey there, beautiful people!

Welcome to The Baldie Diaries! If you've somehow stumbled upon this blog while doom-scrolling, looking for hair growth oils (spoiler alert: I can’t help you there), or just need a mental break—you're in the right place.

I'm Angelique James, but you can call me Angel. I’m a therapist (Resident in Counseling), storyteller, and a proud baldie with a love for deep conversations, creative expression, and a good TV binge session. I specialize in working with children, families, and adults, blending therapy with creativity to make healing feel less like a chore and more like an adventure. I also have alopecia, which means I rock my bald head like the crown it is—no wigs, no regrets, just vibes.

Why The Baldie Diaries?

This space is a mix of my personal experiences, professional insights, and all the lessons I’ve gathered along the way. We’ll talk about therapy, mental wellness, self-love, and, of course, the journey of being a bald woman in a world that sometimes thinks hair equals worth (plot twist: it doesn’t). Expect a little humor, a lot of heart, and some raw, real-life moments because healing isn’t always linear, but it sure is worth it.

What You’ll Find Here:

  • Alopecia & Self-Love: The journey of embracing my baldness and helping others embrace their own unique beauty.

  • Therapy Talk: Breaking down mental health topics with humor, realness, and zero judgment.

  • Mental Wellness: Because our stories, struggles, and healing matter.

  • Life & Legacy: Building a life that feels good, not just looks good.

So whether you’re here for the hair-loss realness, therapy gems, or just a safe space to exhale, I’m glad you’re here. Pull up a chair, grab some tea (or wine—no judgment), and let’s get into it!

P.S. If you ever need a reminder that you are enough—right now, just as you are—consider this it.

With love & a bald head,
Angel 🤍
